Introducing Mikayla Rose Jensen

Well our posts will be a little out of order, since I didn't get all caught up before this little beauty came into the world, but o well right. Little miss Mikayla Rose (for Rosenvall) Jensen joined our family on October 17 early in the morning weighing in at 8lbs 3oz and 20 inches long. It was the fastest easiest delivery I have had. We went in the night before to get induced. My doc didn't want me going over my due date with the whole little C antibody issue we had so it was my first time getting induced. It was all really simple. After they started me on the first dose of whatever it was ( can't remember the name, not pitocin) they kept me. Since I was staying they let me have me epidural when I was only at a 2.5 which was awesome. They did one more dose and then when Mikayla was ready, she was READY! The nurses switched at 6am. The nurse that had been on all night with me couldn't decide if she wanted to stay or not so she left thinking it would be a while. Ha Ha. The new nurse told me to make sure to let her know if I was feeling any pressure to push.Well I didn't really know what that kind of pressure felt like, but I felt like there was something going on. When I told her, she checked me and the baby was right there. She told me not to push and keep my legs closed :) She went to find the doctor who of course was being a bit slow. I heard her holler out the door to the doctor "don't stop and talk, get in here" I only had to push about 9 times or so and out came Mikayla. At 6:20am. She was actually not posterior like all the other kids. Thank goodness. And her head was a bit smaller than the boys YAY! Her hair is a bit lighter and she doesn't have as much as Danika did. But it will still curl. She has one big dimple on her right cheek and one in her chin and a couple smaller ones. It is so cute. I love that all my kids have dimples. She had her daddy wrapped around her finger the moment she was born!

Daddy did such a good job with the camera and even got me some detail shots without my begging :)

Danika brought her new little sis a pink stuffed bear. She loves her new baby sis. LOVES to "help".

Grandma Ruthy came up for a couple days before we went to the hospital and stayed till Monday to help out with the kids. Thanks mom. Love you.

Chris and I compromised with the spelling of the name. He got the spelling and I got the middle name.

Mikayla was born with beautiful long lashes.

Family pictures before we went home from the hospital.

I always forget how small they are the first time in their car seats. She hated that seat.

Grandma Kolleen stayed at our house the next few days or so to help me out.  Thank you so much. And thanks to Camille for helping to entertain the kids during their UEA break.

I had to put her boy in her hair with honey since I didn't have anything else. I had never used it before. It didn't dry the whole day. Kolleen and I kept laughing because we kept getting it on our faces when we would hold her.

Little Mikayla you are such a precious little thing. So calm and quiet, and beautiful. We are so happy to have you in our home.
